Artists Formerly Known As Flux Ache
The Stuff are Josh Christopher, Jay Gower and Richard Arron. You may have known them as the band Flux Ache.
Flux Ache formed in 2006 but split up in 2011 citing 'musical similarities' as the main problem. Richard was heard to comment at the time "we simply couldn't agree to disagree".
The split was further complicated when Josh tried to sue himself over copyright issues with many of the songs he himself had written. Jay then issued himself with an injunction over the use of his own artwork and Richard made slanderous and libelous comments about himself, which he later retracted and then re-retracted.
Somewhat frustrated with the state of the music industry and the world's increasing obsession with celebrity, the boys decided to take another path altogether.
Richard most notably recalled this as, "We are chasing obscurity. We feel that we can be a lot more successful if we seek relative obscurity. So far this has been going very well for us and we feel if we continue working as hard as we have for the last ten years we will certainly realise all our dreams and we hope to become one of the most obscure bands in the world."
And so in late 2011 The Stuff were formed, their mission statement simply states "to oblivion and beyond". The boys are currently in the studio working on a number of tracks for their next album.
